Reality Star Turns Felon

Jason Wahler of Laguna Beach fame finally reported to jail last week. The reality TV star began his 30-day sentence in Issaquah, WA, according to People magazine. Wahler has also been making appearances on the MTV spin-off The Hills. His sentence is for minor intoxication signs and assault. The 20-year-old pleaded guilty to both charges. Wahler, who also did a stint in rehab, is currently engaged to 20-year-old college student Katja Decker-Sadowski. I think that Wahler needs to get a reality check of his own, no pun intended. This seemingly tortured reality “star” has had his share of battles with the law. Here’s an idea: stop drinking and assaulting people! My run-in with Wahler at JFK Airport confirmed that he is a looker, but this guy should realize he’s throwing his life away. He even announced his engagement at a keg party in front of his ex-girlfriend, Lauren Conrad. I mean, there’s decency and then there’s just plain trashy. I’m really cheering for the guy, but I hope he understands that going from rehab to marriage is not the best idea. Hopefully he will get out early due to “good behavior,” which is what sources are predicting, and use the time to evaluate his current 20-year-old existence.

The idea behind this article is excellent, and for me the first item ("Create your own damn content!") is the real gem here: most of the people spend their entire lives only consuming what is created by others, and creating nothing themselves--or never sharing what they create, which is better than not creating at all, though not the best they could do.
