ABA Approval
The law school I am presently enrolled in is seeking ABA approval. Is it possible to transfer to an ABA-approved law school from the one I’m attending now?

Dear Donohue,
Because of the United States v. American Bar Association decision, the ABA
cannot prevent ABA-approved law schools from accepting transfer credits from non-ABA-approved
law schools. That said, some ABA-approved schools will not transfer credits for certain
courses from non-ABA-approved schools. To find out which courses are transferable, I would
advise you to speak with the transfer coordinator for the school you would like to enroll
at.
