Dear JD2B
Part-Timer
I just got into a part-time law school program, and balancing my studies with a full-time job is becoming very difficult. I know the first year’s tough. How tough are the other years going to be? Any tips?

Dear Donohue,
The work gets progressively harder. If you’re having problems
handling a full-time job as a part-time 1L, I think you should quit your full-time job now.
You should consider looking for work-study jobs, internships, externships…law-related
jobs that will introduce you to the legal world. Not only will you have opportunities to apply
your knowledge on the job, but the work you do will also look impressive on your resume.
