Jersey City cop Martin Abreu who killed law grad in drunk driving crash last February sentenced
A Jersey City cop who mowed down an aspiring lawyer while driving drunk was sentenced Tuesday to up to 10-1/2 years behind bars.
Martin Abreu's relatives sobbed after the sentence was read in Manhattan Supreme Court.
"There's not a day that goes by that I wish I could trade my life for the victim's," Abreu, 26, told the court.
"Everyday I live this. I'm going to live it for the rest of my life."
Abreu was driving drunk on West St. when he plowed into Marilyn Feng, 26, and her boyfriend Dennis Loffredo, 26, last February.
